Positive workplace strategy and new facilities give Akron-based company a boost
Hartville Pet Insurance Group℠ has been recognized by
ERC as one of Northeast Ohio's 99 best places to work. This year's NorthCoast 99 winners will
be honored at a recognition dinner Sept. 24 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven in Mayfield
Heights, Ohio, in front of more than 800 guests. This is the first time that Hartville Pet Insurance
Group has received the award.
"We have worked hard to create a rewarding workplace by listening to our employees and
implementing their ideas," said Amanda Piccari, Director of Human Resources, Hartville Pet
Insurance Group. “With our recent move to Akron, we have upgraded our call center and overall
atmosphere and morale for our 125 employees. Even our furry friends who come to work with
us are happy with the new facilities.”
The NC99 award recognizes business performance, benchmarking between local organizations,
recruitment tools and more. Hartville Pet Insurance's employees have attributed winning this
award to a customer-focused, relaxed office environment which allows employees to celebrate
and encourage one another to grow. They also believe strongly in helping others through
community volunteer programs.
"Hartville Pet Insurance's employees' belief in the company mission – helping more pets get the
care they need – makes for a unique office culture that you will not find anywhere else," Piccari
"We've been very excited to see the stories from this year's NorthCoast 99 winning
organizations, and how they've created cultures for Top Performers to thrive," said Pat Perry,

We see it every day and are gratified that more and more local CEOs are shifting towards a
great workplace strategy."
